Jason:
FORCE prayer? Did anyone FORCE the Columbine kids to pray that day those
SATANIST/ATHEISTIC (remember Cassie Bernall?) psychos shot them up? Hmmm...
POOBAH
I see you are lying for Jesus again. There is no evidence that the Columbine
shooters were atheists. Their hero was Adolf Hitler, a catholic, and they
carried crucifixes & rosary beads, something that most atheists don't do.
The very idea that you would combine Satanist & atheist shows you don't know
what the hell you are talking about. One cannot be both a Satanist and an
atheist, anymore than one can both be a Christian and an atheist. Of course,
one can be both a Christian and a Satanist. Either show primary evidence
that the two boys were atheists or retract the statement.
Unfortunately, we saw the same thing in the Peducah (sp?) prayer-circle
school shooting, where the child-shooter was identified as an atheist in
early media reports. His *pastor* was then quoted as saying that the shooter
was mixed up, but he was no atheist (implying evidently that being a mass
murderer was better than being an atheist). In any event, the story was
quietly dropped, but no retraction ever given.
Further, the growth of the Cassie Bernall martyrdom story is a fascinating
example of myth-making at work. Really gives a lie to the Christian
apologist notion that it takes several generations for a legend to arise.
Tell you what, Jason, why don't you show me exactly what Cassie Bernall said
from an identified primary witness. Not some reference to some kid who heard
something said, but a primary witness, and show me when the report was made.
Take a look at all the different things that she was heard to say. Take a
look at all of the different victims the quote was originally attributed to.
Then show me good evidence for what really happened. Bet you can't do it.
