I believe what I read in the Bible. Show me where I am taught in there that
infants/children go to hell?

Charles Spurgeon was an ardent Calvinist. Here is a snippet of his comments
on the above subject included not as an argument but for purely interest
sake:

POOBAH
Matt, you are being just a bit disingenuous when you ask to be given
Biblical evidence that infants/children go to Hell. You probably know full
well that there are no specific verses dealing with the fates of infants.
Indeed, apologist Robert Mounce in _Answers to Questions About the Bible_
admits, "The Scriptures are remarkably quiet about a lot of things. The fate
of children who die at an early age is certainly one of those." I too, quote
this not as evidence but to simply point out that not all Christians agree
with you & Spurgeon that the matter is cut & dry.

What the Bible does deal with is absolutes, and I can't see that any
exceptions are given for infants. I'll show you some verses you know well
that indicate that infants aren't given any special treatment by Jehovah,
and then I'll turn the tables on you and ask you to refute my
interpretation.

All of the following is NASB, with my emphasis added.
Let's start with John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the
truth, and the life; *no one* comes to the Father but through Me.'"

John 3:18, "He who believes in Him is not judged; *he who does not believe
has been judged already*, because he has not believed in the name of the
only begotten Son of God."

John 3:36, "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not
obey the Son will not see life, but *the wrath of God abides on him*."

Looks to me as if Jesus makes it pretty clear that there are no free passes,
no exceptions. Believe in him or else. Tough luck for the babies who can't.

1 John 5:12, "He who has the Son has the life; *he who does not have the Son
of God does not have the life*."

The author of 1st John seems to agree.

Here's Paul's famous statement on the matter:

Romans 5:12 "Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world,
and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, *because all sinned*"

Note Paul makes no exceptions for infants. "All sinned." Pretty clear cut.

Here's one from Psalms:
Psalm 58:3
"*The wicked are estranged from the womb*;
These who speak lies go astray from birth."

Somehow this never gets quoted in abortion debates, eh? Anyhow, the psalmist
makes it pretty clear that there are infants who are wicked from before the
time they are born.

I think the most logical conclusion to be drawn from these verses are that
infants get no special treatment. But let's not judge yet, because the
defense hasn't presented its case...

So Matt, show me Scriptural evidence that babies are given special
treatment. Show me Scriptural evidence for when the "age of accountability"
starts. Show me that Jehovah isn't such a bastard that he would torture
babies for all eternity. I realize that most Christians believe that babies
go to heaven, they think their religion is overflowing with all-encompassing
agape for all men, but it isn't Scriptural, and honestly this "belief" about
babies looks to me like nothing more than a psychological defense mechanism
at the brutality of Jehovah. I see no scriptural evidence for babies going
to Heaven. Unless of course, you provide some. And even if you do, all's
you've done is prove the Bible errant, because the verses above allow no
exceptions.
