    That reminds me of the story of why "God" created the armadillo.  It's a
long story but ultimately the reason given was that the beasties were
created in order to eventually (with migration patterns, etc.) bless the
hillbillies with that rarest of delicacies -- possum on the half-shell!  ;-)
