Okay...I have heard ex-Muslims at my university say this almost
exact thing. They have "proof" from "answered prayers" but they
see so many problems with the Qur'an and Islam that they just
can't believe.
Other than that, I can only offer that I've gone through similar
internal battles and it is Hell-on-Earth to deal with. I'm sure
many here can relate. Oh, and the Ex-tian list has people on
it who have had the same thoughts expressed above. I personally
have never experienced anything that couldn't be easily explained
away by chance, human action, and/or psycho/physio-reactions
(such as a really bad headache going away right after prayer).
Still, it makes it harder when you see the obvious fallacies of the
bible and xtianity but have these very personal experiences too.
If badly dealt with, it can lead to very tormenting times (which
I DO know from "personal experience").
