Please excuse me, but it sounds illogical to me, I don't mean to say
anything about YOU being illogical, but this statement is all information I
have about you - you mean to say that Bible is (1) errant and (2) reveals
something (to us, I guess - there is not revelation without receivers), i.e.
tell us about God and his followers - right? Don't get me wrong, but doesn't
it seem that you give no credit to Bible because it is errant, but you
believe
what Bible tells about god and his followers? I mean just to point out some
tension in your comment (it doesn't mean that I intentionally blame you of
logical error) - if Bible is errant then how do you know that it gives you
RIGHT revelation about god and his followers? As Mr. Till pointed out
already in his reply:
>I personally think that an errant Bible cannot be trusted,
>for if what it says about X is not true and can be shown to be not true,
>then how can we be sure that what it says about Y is true, if Y is such
that
>it cannot be known whether it is true or not?
Can we suggest that if Bible is errant then we know NOTHING of god and his
followers??
I hope you understand my question and I personally think that you just did
not put your comment accurately, would you be so kind and answer my
question?

PS And BTW what do you mean when you say "Bible reveals..." or many other
people on this list say "Bible says..."? Does that mean that you perceive
Bible as some unified collection of books in such a way that you can say
that Bible as a whole says or reveals something? Don't these kinds of
phrases presuppose Bible's unity and God's authorship? I just want to
demonstrate that in this short comment I see some terms and expressions of
inerrantists who you are trying to prove wrong...
