Adnan:
In one of his interview he tells a story that when he was once swimming 
in Malibu Beach he almost drowned. At that moment he says he turned to God and
said, "O God if you save me, I will work for you." Exactly at that moment a
wave turned and pushed him towards the shore.

PS: At that time he was not a Muslim. I guess Allah saved him so he can work
for Allah, as he is doing now.
