I don't know if they did or did not, if they didn't, Why couldn't they
have? Do you know if the rooms were the mummies lie where air tight.
However, they might have been built after the flood during the time the
Israelites were in bondage.
POOBAH
While some of the tombs might have been airtight, they probably wouldn't
have been at 30,000 feet below sea-level. Secondly, quite a few mummies were
simply buried in the sand, and we shouldn't be able to find those if there
had been a flood since they would have been soaked & rotted away.
Finally, once again, it isn't possible that the Israelites built the
pyramids. Exodus refers to them building the treasure cities of Pithom and
Raamses, which were built during the reign of Ramses II (IIRC), which is
c1300BC, thirteen hundred years after the construction of the pyramids. Try
again.
BTW, this is the problem when you try to move Abraham back in time. We know
when the treasure cities were built, and we know that Abraham must have been
about 600 years before that (400 years in Egypt plus time for Joseph, Jacob,
Isaac, plus the 100 years old when Isaac was born).
TERRY
perhaps you could identify exactly what celestial events you were talking
about.
POOBAH
If I understand correctly, if a eclipse is mentioned, then we can calculate
when that would have been and therefore fix various dates in the Egyptian
chronology.
TERRY
Your time period is only a few hundred years past the time line of the
Bible.
POOBAH
No, you can't play that game Terry. If we keep adding a couple hundred years
when we're close, then we'd end up at the beginning of time as we kept
inching closer. Remember, the US has only been around 200 years, and
Columbus only 500. Centuries actually matter.
If I were to claim that Jesus was really the Egyptian sorcerer some have
theorized that lived around 100BC, I don't think you'd let me claim that a
hundred years isn't significant.
Let me reiterate: If Abraham is 1900BC, then the flood must be no earlier
than 2300BC. Archeology tells us that the unification of the two kingdoms
occurred around 3150BC, 850 years earlier. Unification implies that the two
kingdoms existed prior to that date, so we clearly have civilizations
existing prior to, during, and after the flood with no disruption.
The earliest Sumerian records at 2800BC are at least 500 years before the
earliest possible date for the flood. Once again, earlier, during & after.
So you must deal with the fact that civilizations managed to exist through
the flood without disruption. How did that happen?
TERRY
And one more thing, have you ever wonder why the Egyptians as well as other
nations never mention
there defeats or set backs in wars??? Do you know if some of the
civilizations you are talking about had any flood legions, hmmm?
POOBAH
Let me get this straight. Are you seriously implying that Egyptians took the
flood as a "defeat" and so expunged it from their records?
I don't even know what a flood legion is.
First of all, Egyptians did mention floods, since Nile flooding was a major
part of their life, and they mentioned not flooding, so I doubt this is
something they would neglect to mention (of course they should all be dead).
Finally, here's what would have to happen for your scenario to be plausible.
The entire world is covered in 30000 feet of water. Everyone in Egypt is
killed, but none of the monuments & public works are affected, and the Nile
magically returns to its former course. Then, some of the grandchildren of
Noah head off to Egypt, procreate like bunnies to immediately repopulate the
land, and one of them adopts the mantle of successor for the Pharaoh drowned
in the flood, pretending to be the Pharaoh's familial successor and says,
"Let us never speak of what happened."
Do you honestly think this is realistic?
