I'm reading that. It appears to deal with "Yeshu ben Pandeira" not "Jehoshua" or "Yehoshua". In fact the author stresses that Yeshu is not a shortened form of Yehoshua, but of Yeshua. Since this is on your own website I would have thought you'd be more accurate. I point this out because I was cornered by some wacko woman who insisted that Jesus' "true name" "is" Yehoshua. I replied that I thought it was Yeshua, and she steamrolled right over me. It was awful. She had that gleam in her eye. She went on to claim that the name "really has powers", rant rant rant. She had her own tiny little sect, with 4 other people. Scary. Anyway Joe, if you're going to be knowledgeable about shit like this, then you should at least keep track of what you've got on your own website and keep the names distinct, especially when the distinction is important to the author of the material you support. I also noticed that in your Errancy post, you make it clear that Wasserman and Hassyim ben Yehoshua are one and the same, yet on your website you have the author of the article as Hasyyim (or, a few lines down, Hayyim -- which brings us to 3 different spellings that you have used!) ben Yehoshua. The essay is "Forwarded by Yoel Wasserman" -- as if Wasserman forwarded someone elses' article to you. Eh?! It all seems a little dodgy. A touch of the Turkel/Holding. The article was very interesting, BTW, just couldn't help being distracted by this wierdness.
