That was exactly the response from my creationist brother-in-laws when
confronted with the biblical parallels from much older legends and
cultures.

This response blew me away. They are both intellegent and it was beyond
me that two intellegent men could stand there, with a straight face and
tell me "satan created the other religions with parallels to distract
from the truth." Begin Twilight Zone theme ....now :)
