JASON

Before we actually begin working on Jude I thought I'd post my points of
contention in advance, mainly so that Matt and the CCBE can be prepared
beforehand.

1.	Jude was written by a post-apostolic anonymous author. (v. 1)
2.	Jude explicitly contradicts other biblical authors concerning the status
of the fallen angels (v. 6)
3	The author of Jude stated that he and his audience were in 'the last
time,' erroneously expecting the imminent parousia of Jesus. (vv. 1, 18)
4.	Jude expressly quoted and stamped prophetical approval on the
pseudopedigraphal book of First Enoch ( vv 14-15).
5.	Jude alluded to and stamped approval on the apocryphal book "The
Assumption of Moses" (v. 9).

The book of Jude is a really interesting well-written letter; even the
outline of the book itself is interesting. But belief an all-knowing
deity's guiding the writing of this book leads to some very strange
conclusions. But we'll work on that next week.

Regards,
Jason
