I was referring to the Jews' cry for revenge in Psalms 137, they wanted the
children murdered so they wouldnt grow up to persecute Israel as well.
Their feelings do not necessarily reflect the thoughts of the YAHWEH God.

God used Israel to purge the land of wickedness and abominations.
Unfortunately they rebelled and many parts of the land He gave to them was
still inhabited by heathens who influenced them to do evil.  As for the
Phoenies, I cant answer that question, but who's to say the Lord didnt
punish them.  We werent there, and we dont know for sure, as only the Old
Testament gives a surefire history in those times.  Several other factors
are also involved, like free will, which i wont get into here.  If I learn
more Ill post it.
