>Well, the kids wouldn't necessarily have had to grow
>up to be just like their fathers if Yahweh had taken
>the time to do a little divine intervention and teach
>them how they *should* be. But that would have been
>too tiring. It's so much easier to just slaughter them.
>I mean...what earthly father wouldn't kill his children
>when he got fed up with them...unlimited patience just
>isn't something we should expect from a father figure.
BEREAN We seem to be under the impression that mankind "isnt all that bad" Truth be told, all mankind is worthy of death, as there is none righteous, not even Christians. Christians are absolved from the punishment of death simply because they accept Christ took their place at the cross. Anyone, even satanists can choose to accept this and become Christians as well, perfectly redeemed under the blood of Jesus. BLACKFOOT
>Sure, he *sometimes* sent crazed & naked prophets to
>warn them to stop their wicked ways, but I can
>understand why no one would listen to such people.
BEREAN Crazed and "naked" does not demonstrate an impartial opinion. These propets were anything but crazed, as all the prophecies they made came to pass 100 percent, word for word. Even Archaelogists today concede and support these facts. The only argument left is that such prophecies have been made AFTER the fact, unfortunately for those not believing in God, no evidence can support their arguments. The fact is, if God came down from heaven Himself, and performed miracles in front of you, you still wouldnt believe. In fact He did, and they killed Him for it. It's just the way mankind is. The Jews, who saw the red Sea part before their eyes, absolutely refused to believe ANYTHING God told them. That's why I can say with all assurance that no matter what God does to prove Himself to you, you wouldnt believe. Your heart has to change. BLACKFOOT
>ANYWAY...This verse would be better served if it had

>you're a bad person if you take pleasure in another
>persons pain. (Something like that...sorry I can't
>remember book/chapter/verse.)
