I have a question and a problem. I have recently been "hit" with claims
that the protagnonist (myself being the antagonist) have recourse to Greek,
Hebrew and Aramaic Translations. And to do the Dead Sea Scrolls were
inserted as proof of the validity of the Bible.
I know that is all nonsense, as to my knowledge the earliest texts that
exist date from the 2d Century (Maybe) and many from the middle ages. I
don't think anyone has photocopied and translated the original text in the
Vatican, nor have had them tested for authenticity and accuracy of dating.
They rely strictly on hearsay, authoritative assertations of the validity
of said documents, and the subsequent transcription by folk who are deemed
to be scholars.
Can anyone provide me clarity as regards the dating and authenticity of
this Bible.
And what about the Qumran scrolls. I understand there is nothing in them of
this Iesus, and a lot of Hebrew Heresy to boot, hence the scandal behind
the reluctance to grant
access to them by world scholars.
