If you ever bother to educate yourself on the Bible you might someday
encounter
the Biblical explanation *why* the Jews rejected Jesus, and for whose
benefit
it was. As for unity within Christianity, the divisions are grossly
exaggerated
by 'we are the one true churchers' aswell as cults, and skeptics. There is
complete unity in the church of Christ, a statement I wouldn't expect you
to
even come close to grasping.

In that case, why is there such a wide disagreement over "essentials"
such as the trinity? I can think of Christian sects right off the top
of my head that don't accept the "trinitarian" approach. They
are, Jehovah Witnesses, One god Pentacostals, Monophysites
(such as the Coptics).
In fact I am quite hard pressed to think of ANY doctrine that all
Christians agree with (except maybe that Jesus was the son of
God, which is meaningless at face value).
Whereas I can think of at least 4 doctrines that ALL Buddhists
agree with. They are:
1) There are four noble truths, suffering, it's cause, suffering can be
eleviated, there is a path to the eleviation of suffering (point 4)
2) The "self" does not ultimately exist (although it may exist in
a contingent or relative sense).
3) Things arise dependently (pratityasammudpada (sp?))
4) The eleviation of suffering is the eightfold path.
I have never encountered ANY Buddhists that disagree with any of these
including sects I consider off the wall (such as the Western Buddhist
Order).
Even Zen admits these, but doesn't emphasize them like the Theravadins
do.
So Matt, if you think there are issues that ALL Christians agree on
then all you have to do is list and number them like I did for Buddhism.
