Latest installment from the "For what it's worth" department: The one
crucifixion victim whose remains have been found (yes, Yehochannan) didn't
have his hands nailed - only his feet. His hands appear to have been
strapped over the cross member (described in Crossan, The Birth of
Christianity). That poor guy - cleft palate, malformed skull, crucified and
all that - it must have sucked to be him.
