Joe!

We could have saved each other a BUNCH of time here. I guess that it is my
fault for jumping in on the middle of a conversation.

Let's bottom-line it:

>Each post I receive that shows another example of a victim left to rot or
>makes it clear that nails were driven through bone takes me one step closer
to
>acknowledging that no-burial was the norm. What I'm looking for, however,
is
>evidence which is strong enough to justify Tyler's claim that Jesus' burial
>would have been the only one afforded by the Romans to victims of
crucifixion.
>Written records of governor's orders to executioners would be very
convincing
>to me.
Tyler is wrong. One way or another, Yehochanan's ankle bone made it into an ossuary with a spike through it, so IF Jesus was buried, he would be the second known case - out of thousands, but still not the only one. Regardless on how we get there, however, Tyler (whoever that is) and I clearly agree that Jesus did not make it to the fictitious tomb. - Sincerely, Sam Gibson - cygnus@cygnus-study.com http://www.cygnus-study.com - "You might have lived a good life as an exemplary Christian, only to be met at the gates of Heaven by Mohammed.
