Achilles Just where do you get the idea that all that is necessary to prove your case is to show that it is, in some remote way, *possible*? This is a common fundamentalist position, and I confess even having been raised one I have NEVER seen any sense to it. Would you accept this from anyone else? If I showed you it was *possible* that Jesus was NOT the messiah, would you then renounce the Christian Heresy and convert to Judaism or Islam? Possible is a word that can be applied to any proposition which does not contradict itself. Just because a proposition is *possible* does not mean that it is probable. It is *possible* that you, Matthew, are in fact a disembodied brain, hooked into a massive computer which provides your brain with direct stimulation, simulating the world you believe you interact with. Since it is possible, it must be true, right? If not, why not? /Achilles achillesz@usa.net All rights reserved.
