Matthew Bell
The twelve apostles are listed at Matthew 10:2-4; Mark 3:16-19; Luke 6:14-16
and Acts 1:13. The claimed 'discrepencies' between names on the lists has
been
discussed prevously on the list and may still be available in the archives.

It is not a *claimed* discrepancy, it is a discrepancy. Fact - the lists are
not the same between the various Gospels & Acts, or do you deny this? You
may have a "claimed" rational harmonization, but the discrepancy exists in
the texts.
Even if there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for the discrepancy (I'm
sure that I will hear that Judas == Thaddeus, and will save my objections
until I do) the point is that it is ridiculous for Mr. Carter to talk about
what happened to the disciples until he tells us who they were in the first
place.
Nonetheless, most issues have been discussed on this list before, so it
might still be enlightening to hear it again.
