ELF Well, it is alleged in the Bible ( Luke 1:26-35 is the story I flipped to) that Mary, though a virgin, conceived a child without the aid of a human male's semen, and while still a virgin. [virgin conceptions, much to the young ladies consternation, do occur. Penetration, though it improves the odds, is not required for impregnation as a few young women find out the hard way every year]

ELF That's a problem you have to solve to uphold your side of the debate.

ELF Evidence. Tacitus in the Annals reports of several battles between Roman's and barbarians. Fortunately he provided enough descriptive detail that it was possible to narrow down the areas where the battles could have occurred, and sure enough when some areas were excavated, artifacts consistent with a melee between Roman legions and barbarian armies were found. Thus the reality of the event was confirmed, and Tacitus garnered more reliability for the accuracy of what he reports. It would be up to you to provide some evidence that the story in the gospels is more than just another myth from antiquity. ¡Salud! Mike, aka Elfish Chimera
