CREA
Maybe .... but it (Gen. 8:21) still can't be squared with a LOCAL Flood
(unless we are to believe that the habitat of everything living was ALSO a
localized phenomenon). And providing aquatic quarters for all the gilled,
finny, etc. denizens of the deep puts a definite burden on the Ark's
stability, not to mention it's ability to even float when so loaded.
And as for God being omnipotent, perhaps you'd care to assist Carter in
demolishing my "God as a Designer is an inept klutz" argument based on the
specifics of the human retina versus the equivalent structure in the
octopus/squid/cephalod. ;-)

LOCAL FLOOD THEORY
I'm not sure I see why it couldn't hold water. Anyone?
ARK LOGISTICAL PROBLEMS
Dennis McKinsey (not the first, I'm sure) throroughly debunks the ark story by
discussing, among other things, the logistical problems involved. I've culled
from his flood-ark articles the most incisive points and put them in a summary
article on my page. For anyone who wants more information, the URL is:

ON OMNIPOTENCE
I have no reason to believe there is a god, let alone an omnipotent one. But,
for the sake of argument I often will assume that there is one, as do most
skeptics on this list. If there is an omnipotent god, it has the power to
create flawed beings, and perhaps even the will to do so. Does this address
your argument about the human vs octopus retinas? (I haven't seen it.)
