Ok, what exactly is the significance of the question of whether or not Joseph
Smith had a gun on him when he died? Why does anyone care? What did I miss?
Regardless of *why* he was in jail (which I could see having some relevance)
the fact that he grabbed a gun and shot back when a lynch mob attacked him can
hardly be used to throw any more bad light on him. I don't blame him, and I can
confidently state that I would have done the same thing. Is there anyone on the
list who wouldn't?
'If one comes to kill you, rise and kill him first.'

Random thought for the moment:
A man does not insist on physical beauty in a woman who builds up
his morale. After a while he realizes that she is beautiful--he
just hadn't noticed it at first.
