TILL
Because of some blunt comments that I have made to some high school students
in recent days, I want to clarify my position about this age group. From
having taught 18 to 20 year olds for 30 years, I think I can safely say that
they are generally unskilled in critical thinking. However, this is not to
say that there aren't exceptions. The next issue of *The Skeptical Review*
will have an article on the biblical description of locusts and grasshoppers
in Leviticus 11, and it was written by an 18 year old. I considered it good
enough to publish. I think that any inerrantists who may want to reply to
it will have difficulty discrediting the writer's claim that the biblical
writer made a likely error in describing insects as creatures with four legs.
