Of course, any normal person, with an ounce of brain in his head, would
want out of such an ordeal; however, according to the majority or
Christians, Jesus was not a normal person, being both God and man at the
same time. That probably means that Jesus was both capable of feeling
fear and incapable of feeling fear at the same time, for example. That
doesn't make a bit of sense, does it? Jesus, as God, was the creator of
everything in the universe, including the sensations of pain and fear.
He knew where he came from and he knew everything that was going to
happen to him, and the reward he would receive when all was done. He
didn't need faith, since he already knew everything that would happen to
him. Why does this seem, to me, to be a little hard to believe? Matt,
do you really believe all this? Perhaps you could explain it to me in a
way which I can understand. Just show me how you can make sense of
Jesus being both God and man at the same time, if you please, for I am
indeed puzzled.
