Jesus a Wimp?

"'Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will,
but yours be done.' An angel from heaven appeared to him and
strengthened him. And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and
his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground" Luke 22:42-44.
Would someone here be kind enough to explain this passage to me. From
the angle I'm looking from, it appears that, at least at this moment,
Jesus did not want to die for the sins of mankind. I might be wrong,
though; I'm just calling it as I see it. Matt, could you give me some
insight into this passage, if you're not too busy?
