Actually, I think it's a case of *refusing* to see it, and throwing it
out; since you had no good reason to reject it or explain it away.
Failure to come up with a viable alternative, yet refusing to accept the
evidence is not a coming up with a different perspective on it.

You do not know me well enough to say that, so you are merely expressing
your opinion.  Maybe you don't feel there is enough reason to reject it,
but I do.  Maybe I should turn it around and say I don't see enough reason
to accept it
