Sure! The gospel accounts of who saw Christ conflict with Paul's list in 1st Corinthians 15. Many apologists rebutt the claim that the Bible negates a woman's status by pointing out that the gospels say that Jesus first appearence after resuurection was to a woman, or two women. Paul, the classic and confirmed woman-hater of NT Christianity, fails to mention Christ's first appearence to these two women, which today's apologists feel is a very significant point. This of course is an argument from silence, since failing to mention does not mean Paul's knowledge was different than the gospel writers. However, the silent testimony of such evidence is equal to a book about Political corruption in the white house from 1950-1999, and yet failing to mention the Lewinsky/Clinton...issue...ah...affair. In other words, if it were really true that Paul knew of the women being the first witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus, his failure to mention them and contradict by saying Peter was seen first, says two things: 1) Paul hated women and didn't care to mention the women being first. 2) Paul's had knowledge of Jesus' resurrection which conflicted with the gospel authors. skepticbud@aol.com _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
