"reason" for the flood was to get rid of the wicked people, god failed.

God is not God, eh. I suppose we just have a different view of whether he
failed or not. According to the Bible there was only 8 survivors of the
flood. So, if he thought the 8 survivors were not wicked, I fail to see
how he failed. Yes, I would say the world "again"has wicked people in it,
but that does not mean that his purpose was not served effectively by the
previous deluge.
