<snip some good stuff from aaron> Calvin It seems to me Mr. Sherman wants some new, original argument, when the ones given are already rock solid. There is no need for us to reinvent the wheel. Others have found a path to (what appears to me to be) the truth (the bible has errors) imo. Why should we cut another trail when we can see clearly to our destination? It doesn't matter who finds the rock bottom (truth). It is the same however we get there. I came to this list after seeing some posts from Mr. Till on an inerrancy newsgroup. What he says has always rung true for me. Some things he said, I looked up because, even though I had read the bible for thirty years (Methodist), he pointed out some things I had over looked, or glossed over. If you think you have already answered these arguments from Mr. Till or someone else, simply cut and paste your replies or give a reference where they can be found. I would love to see someone give Mr. Till a good argument. So far, it hasn't happened. The bible has some good stuff in it. I don't think any one here is trying to say it is all bad. We just don't believe it is the word of god. In the six months or so I have been here, I haven't seen one good argument against the clear evidence that the bible contradicts itself! Peace, Calvin Snow
