Hello all!

Forgive me if this does not relate to errancy, or if this topic has been
raised before, but I have a few questions regarding the following verse:
(1TIM 1:20) (NIV) "Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have
handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme."
Did Paul have some sort of gentleman's agreement with His Satanic
Majesty for correcting Christian miscreants? And did the Evil One hand
them back to Paul when his devilish wiles were exhausted? I thought
perhaps that Satan would rather teach them how to blaspheme than how not
to blaspheme. Since when did Satan perform such deeds for Paul? How
far back do they go? I am wondering how to "interpret" this. I found
the reference to this verse in a writing by Charles Bradlaugh titled "A
Few Words About the Devil," to be found at
