One "explanation" I heard for this story is that in that culture when a person
got married,
garments were placed at the entrance for guests to put on. It was similar to
modern
times when the groom orders a certain kind of tux that all of the people
involved with
the wedding wear. So for a person to NOT wear this garment would be considered
an insult in that culture.
I don't know if Ron will use that "explanation" or not, but he might.
