from Bach Before you go even one step further, Joe, can you provide a name for this particular Pharaoh, and if so, what is it? As you and I both know, Egypt had a number of Pharaohs, some of whose names and empire records were actually recorded in sources outside the bible. Why isn't this particular Pharaoh's name known and why isn't his name as important as the names of Moses and Aaron, the other characters in the drama, if this story is to have any credibility? Why would you assume that he was an "aging leader"? For all you know, he could have been a 13-year old kid. Egypt had some very young Pharaohs, did they not? Perhaps, if we just knew his name, we could know the date of this story and compare it with any extant Egyptian records of this time period and actually know who he was instead of proceeding on the basis of a gang of assumptions. (Hey, don't blame me. You are the one who requested that I point out flaws in your arguments.) I think this might just be the first of many. Bones Bach thebachs@fgi.net
