 Hi Joe,
I quite agree that this is RC dogma, however, my point was that no
Christian, including the RCC, would teach that this practice is
cannibalistic. I've never come across any writings that would indicate
this. They simply do not believe nor actively promote cannibalism the
way it's been debated on this list. I think that sometimes we look for
boogaboos where there are none. ;o)

The reason I said "_some_" RCs believe this dogma is that of all the
RCs I know, very few of them actually believe that the wafer and wine
are actually Jesus, at least the way the RCC intends it. In Quebec,
where I live, the RCC had almost absolute power over us, years ago
when I was a boy. But, after the "Quiet Revolution", many people
freely aqmitted _not_ believing this dogma the way the RCC taught it.

Right. They teach that they are actually consuming the real actual body of
Christ, while maintaining that this is not cannibalism, even though they are
claiming to do what the dictionary defines as cannibalism. It's just the
verbal hoops that Christians of all sorts go through.
