BRYCE I'm not sure what's being argued here. Tim writes that because none of the eleven things he mentioned ever happened to Jesus, "Jesus didn't experience what is was like to be human." As someone who has never had any of these things happen to him (I've never even been a Red Sox fan) I hope his statement is incorrect. However, if Christians claim that Christ experienced the full range of human suffering, Tim and Dave have an arguable point. OTOH, the LDS believe that Jesus DID experience the pain and suffering of every person on earth while in the Garden of Gethsemane (this is where the atonement was REALLY supposed to have happened). What purpose this suffering served in LDS theology is still unclear to me. So it isn't a fruitful line of argumentation to use against them.
>>>I guess I could add a few more things that he didn't suffer, but it would
be redundant. If he had only lost his vocal chords like I did, but when he was 20 years old, he would have saved us a lot of problems.
>>>and Bryce, it's bad enough putting up with the OT and the NT without having
to put up with the B of M, now you have given me an upset stomach. Yuck! Garbage. Gr8granpa Irritantist
