 Can't they just filter your messages into a "to be deleted" folder?

No.  Persons who respond to my posts will not be filtered.  I would prefer
that certain readers have a way to avoid inadvertently reading things I've
said, and they appreciate that.

Note:  I don't criticize those who do not wish to read anything I say.  I do
the same thing when I see the names of certain syndicated columnists in
newspapers:  I won't read what they have to say, ever.  I long ago decided
that they were stupid; plus, they just make me angry.  I know it's irrational,
but that's human nature, you know.
I'm sorry if the flag is an annoyance to you.
