BRYCE <tongue in cheek>Joe, don't you realize that true inerrancy can only be found in the original manuscripts? I have complete confidence that when (in the Lord's due time) these manuscripts are dug up, they will contain no errors, ambiguities, incorrect uses of grammar, or anything else that would cause one to doubt that it was the message of an all-knowing Author. It should be recognized that, though God allowed the authors some choice in the way His divine concepts were expressed, there is no word in the original manuscripts that God does not want there. God would never allow filtration through a human author to interfere at all with the clarity of his message. Human translators, on the other hand, were hung out to dry (for what purpose, God himself only knows, but he must have had a really good reason.</tongue in cheek> This is just my interpretation of the inerrantist "party line." It is my personal belief that it is accurate (though I doubt anyone on their side would phrase it quite that way). JOE

BRYCE Again, is there any "contextual support" for your assertion that it could not have been thirty cubits around and ten cubits across, aside from the fact that the object (if we consider this a literal and exact description) cannot exist? == Bryce Anderson http://members.tripod.com/~Idafab/index.html Eagles can soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
