DAVID CONKLIN As I clearly stated in a previous post on this verse the "NT uses synecdoche (the whole for the part); the ears reprersent the entire body of the servant of Yahweh ..." from Archer and Chirichigno in _Old Testament Quotations in the New Testament_ page 89.
