Ron: This is very interesting.

TILL
Mr, Jones, I'm surprised that you think that your pseudonyms (Ling Zhong
Xie and Michael Johnson) would not be detected, so since I am already
trashing Jones and Johnson, I will now add Ling Zhong Xie to the list. By the
way, how many others had also suspected that these were pseudonyms that
Jones was writing under? Well, in fact Richard Jones is itself a pseudonym,
but Johnson and Xie are just two more.

BRIDEAN
How did you fiqure out that Xie is really Tricky Dick?

XIE
Mr Till- Are you prepared to offer any evidence that I am Dick Jones or
do you need more time? You never claimed inerrancy so why not just admit
you made a foolish false accusation? I forgive your error of jumping to
ridiculous conclusions with absolutely no supporting facts. None of us are
perfect (will your ego permit you to agree?).
One thing that really cuts to the bone regarding this whole
regrettable sordid incident is the way a critical skeptical thinker like
Bridean would so quickly endorse your error. It's like Pope Farrell I made
a proclamation and all his toadies quickly approve- all without any
evidence whatsoever! Truly a sad reflection on critical thinking. You
really are like a cult leader on this list. Next I read that one James M
Scheisskopf (did I spell that right?) has independent "proof" which he,
unfortunately, politely refuses to reveal. What a joke! Perhaps Jones is
right when he calls this a list of fools.........

TILL
A similarity in the basic structure of their sentences, as well as a
common theme in their writing, made me suspicious. As everyone
knows by now, Jones has denied this, but Xie has said nothing on the
question. At any rate, to check the possibility that Jones may be
telling the truth, I am doing a much more detailed analysis of the
postings of Jones and Xie. So far, everything I have seen only makes
me more certain that these postings were written by the same person, but
I'm going to do some more work on it. I'll post my final opinion.

By the way, to insinuate that I just can't resist reading his postings,
Jones asked how long I keep my trashed postings. The answer is that I do
not use the "empty" option to delete all postings in my trash files. I sort
them by sender and periodically go through and delete postings that I
probably won't need to refer to. I still have everything that many
subscribers have sent to the list since my system crashed in April of last
year. In special boxes, I have some postings that date back to the time
when I first switched to Midwest Internet.
