Let me see if I understand this correctly.  You think that John was 
afraid to answer your question privately, and so he answered it publicly 
instead, where not just you but a hundred others would see the answer 
that he was afraid to send you privately?  Well, that sounds just about 
like the way a biblicist would reason.

By the way, Terry, you really should try to learn what run-on sentences 
are.
