CLAIRE "Choice" is used as a euphemism for "abortion" (the "choice" issue, etc.). I don't know of any dictionary that defines "abortion" and "choice" as synonyms. Those who would like people to forget what abortion really is - the killing of an unborn child - are those who decided that abortion should be labeled just a "choice". Because I am opposed to abortion, I am called "anti-choice", which makes it sound as if I want to take away people's choices about everything. If I were faced with an unwanted pregnancy, I would still consider myself to have two choices: to keep the baby and raise him/her myself, or give it up for adoption. Carrying the baby to term might be an "inconvenience" for me, but this inconvenience is minor when I consider the fact that the baby's life is at stake - and the baby has no choice. ~Claire O'Connor
