I would like to point out though that God revealed 
Himself as "Father" because humans could understand Him better by this
analogy. Nowhere scripturally does He call Himself "Mother" even
though He has "motherly", "feminine" qualities. God expresses Himself
in Human terms which are limited. But they are terms we can relate to,
and He is trying to communicate with us. It is an interesting fact
that God is NOW male since He incarnated as a human being.

And I would like to point out that the books of the bible were written
by men in a time when women were considered their personal property. 
Those men could never call their god "she" because that would be
saying that a woman was "above" them.
