WALT
Ron,
If I understand you correctly, the christian god is manifested in many other
religions, but labelled differently due to the nature of their experiences.
If these rather distinctive revelations are from the same god,
why does there exist discrimination, hatred, murder, and an on-going
war-time mentality among the many? (I know you've got a neat answer).

RON
1.The fact that God communicates does not exclude human error.
2.The problem is people (including myself) fail to live up to
Christian teaching.

WALT
Ron,
Well, your answer is not as neat as I had imagined. You put the old
scapegoat "man" into play, when your Omni-3 god is the real problem. He
created the world, and in a temper tantrum destroyed all living things,
save a very few.

His best choice is Noah to lead the survivors, who turns out to be a
drunkard, and exposes himself to family members. Good choice, what? I
mean what's the big guy thinking? He'd already lost one-third of his
*angels* through defection, while leaving their leader to prey on us mortals.

I mean, if angels can't cut it, how are *humans* supposed to? If he's
so smart, how come he had to keep going back to the drawing board? Some
quality control program he's got!

Not in my lifetime, but in the distant future science will be able to
make all of humankind immortal for those who wish to be. Then, all the
Judeo/christian based religions will become superfluous, as will YHWH.
Even so, I'll bet that there will *still* be some fundies around claiming
inerrancy.
Best wishes,
Walt

I find it interesting that you have to add to the Scripture, saying that
Noah "exposed himself" when in fact he was unconscious and his daughter
entered into his sleeping quarters. The fact of the matter is that God
works with sinful human beings. Perhaps you can discuss God's
superfluousness when you finally meet Him. But I doubt if that will be
the thing on your mind at that time. I suggest you check out the movie
"Zardoz" for one suggestion as to the results of human "immortality".
