RON
Continued...By the way, my experiences of God have been purely
subjective and "internal". They were not of a physical, visual nature,
being beyond description in material terms. Obviously, short of
experiencing this yourself, there is no way of proving it to you. Just
as you could not prove to me that you had a particular dream while
sleeping.
CREA
Maybe we're getting somewhere. By what standard does one
distinguish between "having a dream about God" and "having God
appear to one in a dream"? Why is one to be considered veridical
and not the other?
RON
A dream could be both horizontal and vertical. God has been known to
speak to people in dreams. The difference in this case was I was not
sleeping and the experience was not one of a visual, earthly nature.
TILL
Correction, please. People have been known to CLAIM that God spoke to
them in dreams, but there is not one verifiable case of where God actually
did speak to someone in a dream. Do you see the difference, Ron?
RON
Correction to your "correction". Mr. Till has been known to claim that
God has never spoken to anyone in a dream, but has never once been able
to verify that He did not. He and other atheists simply dismiss these
experiences, even when they have them themselves. Therefore no evidence
is good enough for them unless they have decided beforehand that they
approve of the conclusions and implications of it. They will simply
contend that the witness is either lying or hallucinating thereby
escaping the need to accept or weigh this evidence. How
conveeeeeeeeeeeenient! (Homage to the Church Lady!)
BRIDEAN (not forwarded to Ron)
Interesting that Ron says that Till claims that God NEVER spoke to someone
in a dream. Did Ron have a dream where Till said this? Seems like Ron is
trying to make up what Till says and then trying to hold him to it. Sounds
pretty conveeeeeeeeeeeenient to me!
