RICHARD IN OREGON:
Leviticus 19:13 says that workers must be paid their wages the same day.

Thanks, Richard. I've seen this passage and perhaps one or two others that
have a couple of words in common with 1 Tim 5:18, but I've found nothing in
the OT that is a word-for-word match, as Luke 10:7 is. I don't read greek
(yet - that's my next undertaking), but the verses are apparently an
identical match in greek.
For the benefit of anyone who might go searching for this proverb, I've
already searched through the OT apocrypha.
