Eternal damnation

In a recent discussion with my friend Ron Criss (who is much to busy with
buying a new house) I mentioned that it seemed as though when I was a 
Christian that God was telling me that I was eternally damned.  Ron thinks
that this contradicts what is revealed about God's nature.  Of course telling
someone that they are eternally damned is small fries compared to genecide
and baby killing.  In any case, do any of you know any scriptures where God
eternally damns someone BEFORE the "judgement" (i.e. when they get sent
to "judgement" after death)?
