So why didn't you answer this, Terry?

I'm going to beg Farrell's indulgence here, for staying on evolution (and
thus off-topic) for just a little longer.
Terry, in my vast experience debating evolution, I have learned that it is
a waste of my time to do so with someone who doesn't have the first idea
what it is. You have refused to read what I have asked you to read,
claiming that you know more about the subject than I suppose. So, if you
want to debate evolution with me off-list, first answer on-list the
following questions. (I'm doing this on-list so you won't be able to say
later that I was afraid to debate you on this topic.) If you can answer
these questions reasonably accurately, then I will accept that you know
more about the subject then I think you do.
You don't have to believe in evolution to understand it, so these questions
DO have a right answer, whether you agree with them or not (just as the
creation myth has right answers to questions, however erroneous in
substance.) Also, you must answer these in your own words, not just cut
and paste from the talk.origins web site. After all, you are trying to
show me that YOU understand the subject. (And trust me, Terry, EVERYONE on
the list will know whether you have answered in your own words!)
1) Describe what evolution IS - what is happening at a molecular level and
why; what survival of the fittest means; what is genetic drift; how
evolution can cause the extinction of a species.
2) Define and explain the following terms: hypothesis, fact, theory.
3) Humans are no more evolved than present-day bacteria. Explain why this
is true.
4) The process of evolution is not random. Explain why this is true.
5) Why does the second law of thermodynamics not apply to the processes on
Earth?
If you bother to answer these (which is unlikely since you don't answer
most of the stuff people ask you!) then I will debate you privately with
one more proviso - if I state something to be true, and provide facts,
references and examples supporting my statement, then you MUST refute it
with facts, references and examples, and show why I am wrong. Simply
saying "I don't believe it" won't work.
