There was an ice age (probably due to a reverse in polarity of north and
south poles) in which most of N. America and Europe was rapidly covered in
ice. As the continent warmed up, glaciers which had covered up those land
masses retreated towards the N. Pole, carrying the remains of animals found
there. Thus, skeletons of American and European animals have been found in
northern hemisphere regions.
But, as I said in another post, there is no one, archeological layer around
the globe which contains fossil remains of everything living on the earth
at one time, 6000 years ago, which would be true had there been a global
flood.
