April It's interesting how, when Paul is talking about the whole world he only means the world he knows, but when the flood story talks about the whole world we are supposed to believe that means the WHOLE world, not just the world Noah knows. Not, of course, that an inconsistency like that would bother an inerrantist....! Aside from any other argument, there is no universal archeological layer which contains fossils of all types of plants and animals from approximately 6000 years ago, as would exist if there had been a global flood. But, for the sake of argument, let's say there was a universal flood as described in the bible. Are you prepared to deal with all the problems that entails, or, are you going to just say that God hocus-pocused any problems away? (I noticed you snipped most of my message. Shall I post it again, or will you address those issues?) If you want me to believe in a universal, global flood, then you must give me real answers to the real questions I have. Like - where did all the water come from? Where did it all go? Why isn't all the water on the earth the same salinity, as it would be if it had all been mixed together in a universal flood? What about the plants? The fish? (Don't say "hocus-pocus".) The insects? (There are approximately 750,000 species of insects - did Noah really get them all into the ark, or have they all evolved from a pair of flies in only 6000 years?) The temperature - polar bears and snakes, remember? And I still haven't mentioned the elephants. April
