A while ago I forwarded Till's summary of the MM problem to a Christian
friend of mine.  Below is his reply.  I found his honesty to be
surprisingly refreshing.



"Sorry I haven't gotten back to you of late.  Thanks for Till's description of
the Mary Magdalene problem.  It's a fine example, I think, of a
discrepancy--and I, too, have been dissatisfied with many attempts to resolve
it.  Generally speaking, the resurrections narratives pose some of the
greatest difficulties in the gospels.  Many have plausible explanations.
While I appreciate the way Till framed the problem, I have a difficult time
getting around his caustic remarks about Christians.  I don't have an
immediate answer to the MM problem, but will think about it."
