Proven? I didn't say that it was proven. I said only that science supports
the view of self-existent matter. However, I don't know of any support that
science gives to self-existing deities.
(DAVE 4/25) Farrell: I retract, you didn't say it was proven. When you
say "science" supports the view of self-existent matter, are you saying that
science as a whole does? Certain scientists? Is it just a theory? What
basis do you make such a statement? And then how can you make the ludicrous
statement that you don't know of any support science gives to a
self-existing deity - OF COURSE you worded it that way to avoid saying it
doesn't. The fact is, there are MANY Christian scientists alone, not to
mention Muslim, Jewish and other faith types in the scientific field. If
you "don't know" of this kind of support, you are blatantly ignoring
reality. Relativism again.

"An inevitable result fo autonomy is relativity. If men are their own
creators, then the social environment, destiny, and meaning of existence
created by one group of people, in one place and time, are not necessarily
relevant to another group of people in a different historical context.
Those in each society bring into being a system of thought and values that
has meaning only for those who create and live within it. This is
particularly true in the realm of morals...."
