DAVE EVERETT:
If so, then that creates another contradiction, since:
Matthew 5:38 "Ye have heard that it hath been said, An
eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto
you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite
thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also."
Jesus is saying that something from the old testament is
not profitable for 'instruction in righteousness'.
So either 'eye for an eye' is not inspired scripture, or
what Jesus said was not inspired scripture. If Jesus was
wrong then he was a false prophet and should be disregarded.
